Our approach with each wedding is to spend a significant amount of time getting to know each client, their family, friends, and the members of their bridal party. Find out exactly what music will pack the dance floor. Discover the little things we can do differently for YOU that we don’t do at other weddings that will make the night perfect.
Prior to the night of the wedding, we’ll meet with you as often as necessary to create a custom, detailed itinerary and timeline for your event. We recognize that every event is different, so we’ll build the entire night just for you and accommodate each and every request to make your wedding night perfect.
On the day of, our package covers the entire night for you. We’ll start by providing a live jazz trio to play for your cocktail hour. Then we’ll handle ALL the MC duties by managing the Grand Introductions, the Toasts, the Prayers, Cake Cutting and any other announcements. We’ll work together to develop a unique grand introduction just for you, tailored to your personality and likes.
For dinner, we’ll provide a wonderful mix of jazz classics including Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, and more. Or, we’ll customize a dinner mix just for you based on our conversations.
After dinner, we’ll play your first dances with all the passion and emotion that made the song your choice in the first place. If we don’t know the song, we’ll learn it for you!
Once the dancing starts, there is NO OTHER BAND in Detroit and beyond that brings the energy, enthusiasm and fun to a party like The Dan Rafferty Band. We’ll start with some classic Motown music, bring the funk, the rock, the pop, and build up to all the current top 40 and hip hop hits topping the charts right now. We don’t believe in the “cheesy wedding band”. Our front line is made up of young, stylish, trendy performers who will make you think you’re listening to the original artists!
The bottom line is this. Many brides and grooms moved away from the live band and towards DJ’s because there were no bands that could offer the level of commitment and entertainment they wanted. To shell out that kind of money, brides want an AWESOME band. We recognize that, and work tirelessly to offer you that band. We appreciate the opportunity to create a relationship with our clients and enjoy meeting them and their families as we build towards the big day.
